LDC Engineering Ltd is a specialist sub-contract gun drilling and deep hole drilling company based in West Yorkshire, near Leeds. Specialist Gun Drilling and Deep Hole Drilling
We specialise in sub-contract gun drilling and deep hole drilling, delivering accurate, high-quality results across a wide range of materials and component types.
Our gun drilling capacity covers diameters up to 38mm, with depths of up to 4m achievable on certain diameters depending on material specification. Using carbide-tipped gun drills and high-pressure oil systems, we are able to produce high tolerance holes with a strong surface finish.
Our deep hole drilling capability extends to diameters up to 68mm and depths up to 2m. This enables us to manufacture components ranging from simple heater holes through to more complex multi-level water cooling circuits. Whether producing a single component or supporting larger batch production, we maintain the same focus on precision and consistency.
Materials and Production Capacity
LDC Engineering Ltd machines a wide variety of materials including duplex, stainless steel, mild steel, aluminium, copper, bronze, cast iron, cast steel, resin, nylon and wood. This broad material capability allows us to support customers across diverse industries and technical applications.
We have the capacity to machine products from one-off components through to large production batches. Our flexibility enables us to adapt to varying project sizes while maintaining quality standards throughout.
Additional Engineering Services
Alongside our core deep hole drilling and gun drilling services, we provide a range of complementary machining services to support wider project requirements.
These include CNC milling, manual turning, manual horizontal milling, radial drilling and surface grinding. Our surface grinder is particularly large, with a table size of 1500mm x 500mm x 350mm, allowing us to accommodate larger components and specialist finishing requirements.
By offering these additional services in-house, we are able to provide a more complete engineering solution for our customers.
